Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and welcoming English-Speaking Hotel Receptionist to join our team in Hamburg. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our international guests, providing exceptional service from check-in to check-out. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, performing efficient check-in and check-out procedures.
- Handle all guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally, providing accurate information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications, ensuring all details are accurately recorded.
- Process payments, manage guest accounts, and handle cash and credit card transactions with precision.
- Act as a central communication point, answering phone calls, directing messages, and coordinating with other departments (housekeeping, concierge, F&B) to fulfill guest needs.
- Resolve guest complaints and issues with empathy and effectiveness, aiming for optimal guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front desk area.
- Adhere to all hotel policies, safety regulations, and service standards.
Required Skills
- Fluent in English (verbal and written communication).
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with computer systems and ability to quickly learn hotel management software (e.g., Opera PMS).
- A positive attitude and a genuine desire to provide excellent guest service.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of other languages (e.g., German, Spanish, French) is a plus but not required for this specific role.
- Familiarity with local attractions and amenities in Hamburg.
