Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Hotel Reception / Front Desk Agent at our prestigious Hilton property in Munich. This is a fantastic opportunity for an English-speaking professional to be the first point of contact for our diverse international guests. You will play a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional guest experience from check-in to check-out, embodying the warmth and professionalism that Hilton is renowned for. While fluency in German is not a requirement for this specific role, a willingness to learn basic phrases would be an advantage for cultural immersion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome and register guests upon arrival, ensuring a smooth check-in process.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints efficiently and professionally, resolving issues to guest satisfaction.
  • Process payments, manage reservations, and assign rooms according to guest preferences and availability.
  • Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions in Munich.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest services.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, including safety and security guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and hotel management software (e.g., Opera PMS).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hotel front desk or customer service role.
  • Knowledge of an additional language (though German is not required, other languages are a plus).
  • Certification in Hospitality Management or a related field.
