Job Description
Join the dedicated team at Hilton Pittsburgh Downtown as a Public Area Cleaner! This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about maintaining a pristine and welcoming environment for our guests. You will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of all public spaces within the hotel, contributing directly to an exceptional guest experience. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training to equip you with all the skills needed to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, stairwells, and offices.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors in designated areas.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, fixtures, and furniture.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
- Clean and sanitize public restrooms, ensuring they are stocked with supplies.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items to management immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and storage areas.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist guests with directions or information when needed, demonstrating excellent customer service.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, stoop, stand for extended periods
