Job Description

Marriott International is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor Trainee in Wilmington, DE. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about hospitality and eager to grow into a leadership role within our housekeeping department. As a trainee, you will learn all aspects of supervising a housekeeping team, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency are met. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all guest rooms and public areas meet brand standards.
  • Learn and implement effective scheduling, training, and performance management techniques for housekeeping staff.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance standards are upheld.
  • Help manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and complaints, resolving issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Understand and enforce health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all associates.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as reporting, record-keeping, and payroll preparation.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and continuous training programs.
  • Shadow experienced supervisors to learn best practices in team leadership and operational excellence.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry moderate amounts of weight (up to 25 lbs).
  • Positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow in the hospitality industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hotel or customer service environment.
  • Enrollment in or completion of a hospitality management program.
  • Bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Haitian Creole).
