Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to join our team at the Marriott Downtown Kansas City. As a Housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment during their stay. Your commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction will directly contribute to our hotel’s reputation for excellence. This is a full-time position offering competitive benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms and public areas according to hotel standards
- Change linens, make beds, and replenish guest room supplies (towels, toiletries)
- Vacuum carpets, mop floors, dust furniture, and clean windows/mirrors
- Empty trash receptacles and transport soiled linens to designated areas
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or lost and found items promptly
- Handle guest requests and complaints courteously and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work cart and storage areas
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and hotel policies
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, and pushing for extended periods
- Basic communication skills to interact with guests and colleagues
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or a similar cleaning role
- Knowledge of various cleaning chemicals and equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent
