Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms and common areas, upholding our high standards of hygiene and guest satisfaction. This role is crucial to maintaining our reputation for excellence and providing a welcoming environment for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and tidy all assigned guest rooms and common areas according to established standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Change bed linens, make beds, and replace towels.
  • Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors.
  • Clean bathrooms, including showers, toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
  • Replenish amenities and supplies in guest rooms.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damage, or missing items to the supervisor immediately.
  • Handle guest requests promptly and courteously.
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor with guests and team members.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in housekeeping or a similar role, preferably in a hotel environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs), pushing, and pulling.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and their safe use.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a hotel setting.
  • Knowledge of safety and security procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
