Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants to join our dynamic team in Brooklyn. This vital role involves assisting nurses and other healthcare professionals in providing high-quality patient care in various clinical settings. The successful candidate will be a key part of our patient care team, ensuring comfort, safety, and support for all individuals under our care. Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and report changes to nursing staff.
- Help patients with mobility, transferring, and ambulation, utilizing proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Assist with basic medical procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting a positive healing environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
