Job Description

As a Harvest Team Member, you will play a crucial role in the lifecycle of our organic crops, contributing directly to the quality and delivery of fresh produce to our customers. This physical and rewarding position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, executing precise harvesting techniques, and ensuring all produce meets our rigorous quality standards. You will be an integral part of a team committed to sustainable farming practices and delivering excellence from field to fork.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual harvesting of various organic crops according to established protocols and quality standards.
• Identify and select ripe produce, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Operate and maintain basic harvesting tools and equipment safely.
• Assist with field preparation, planting, weeding, and other general farm tasks as needed.
• Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and organic certification guidelines.
• Work effectively as part of a team, following instructions from supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the fields and packing areas.
• Report any issues with crop health, equipment, or safety concerns promptly.

Required Skills

• Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, sun, rain).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Basic understanding of produce handling and quality standards.
• Reliable transportation to the farm location.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable working with a diverse team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in agricultural harvesting or farm labor.
• Knowledge of organic farming principles.
• Experience operating small farm equipment.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
