Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Handyman / Maintenance Worker to join our team at the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort. This role is crucial for ensuring our property remains in excellent condition, providing a safe, comfortable, and appealing environment for our guests and staff. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of maintenance skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to quality service. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel premises, including guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks including painting, plastering, light plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Inspect hotel premises regularly to identify and resolve issues.
• Repair or replace broken fixtures, appliances, and equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical components.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
• Assist with minor construction and renovation projects as needed.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and hotel policies.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a Handyman or Maintenance Worker.
• Solid understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and dexterity for manual tasks.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common maintenance issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational training or apprenticeship in a relevant field (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
• Experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Certification in a skilled trade (e.g., HVAC, electrical).
