Job Description

Intel’s Government Affairs team is seeking a highly motivated and talented Government Affairs Intern to join our dynamic team in Chandler, Arizona. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public policy, government relations, and strategic communications within a leading global technology company. The intern will support various initiatives aimed at shaping policy landscapes, building stakeholder relationships, and advancing Intel’s strategic interests at local, state, and federal levels. This role is ideal for students passionate about the intersection of technology, policy, and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments relevant to Intel's business interests at the local, state, and federal levels.
  • Conduct research and analysis on key policy issues, preparing summaries and briefing materials for the Government Affairs team.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and communications for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the coordination of meetings, events, and engagement activities with government officials, industry associations, and community leaders.
  • Help track and manage government affairs projects and initiatives, ensuring timely execution and reporting.
  • Contribute to the development of advocacy strategies and campaigns.
  • Attend virtual or in-person policy briefings, hearings, and industry events as required.

Required Skills

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, Law, Economics, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated interest in government affairs, public policy, or technology policy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship or work experience in government, political campaigns, public affairs, or a corporate government relations department.
  • Familiarity with legislative processes and policy analysis.
  • Experience with stakeholder engagement or coalition building.
  • Knowledge of the semiconductor industry or advanced technology policy issues.
