Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and organized Goods In/Out Clerk to join our dynamic team in Ajegunle, Lagos State. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the meticulous handling, recording, and tracking of all incoming and outgoing goods within our busy logistics hub. Your attention to detail will ensure inventory accuracy, prevent discrepancies, and support the smooth flow of operations. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, contributing significantly to our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unpack, and inspect all incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies, comparing against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Accurately record details of received goods into the inventory management system.
  • Prepare and pack outgoing goods according to company standards and customer requirements.
  • Generate and attach appropriate shipping labels, waybills, and documentation for all outgoing items.
  • Coordinate with dispatch and delivery teams to ensure timely loading and dispatch of goods.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system records.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the warehouse.
  • Report any inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or operational issues to the supervisor.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as required, including picking, stacking, and general material handling.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems, WMS).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy packages.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with a logistics or supply chain company.
  • Knowledge of local and international shipping regulations.
  • Certification in warehouse operations or logistics.
  • Familiarity with barcode scanning technology.
