Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Geriatric Nurses to join our esteemed team in Coventry, West Midlands. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop, implement, and evaluate care plans for elderly patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
- Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and other indicators of patient health.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including mobility, hygiene, and nutrition.
- Provide wound care, manage pain, and assist with rehabilitation efforts.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, care techniques, and preventative measures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with clinical and legal standards.
- Collaborate with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.

- Participate in continuous professional development and training initiatives.
Required Skills
- Valid Nursing Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Current registration with a nursing board in your home country and eligibility for NMC registration in the UK.
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in geriatric care or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for caring for the elderly.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in English (meeting NMC language requirements).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a UK healthcare setting.
- Postgraduate qualification in Geriatric Nursing or a related specialty.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
