Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Geospatial Intelligence Analyst to join our cutting-edge team in Sunderland. In this critical role, you will be responsible for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting geospatial data from various sources to provide actionable intelligence for defence and security applications. You will work with advanced tools and techniques to support decision-making, enhance operational effectiveness, and contribute to vital national security missions. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and analyze geospatial data from satellite imagery, aerial photography, LiDAR, and other remote sensing platforms.
• Develop and apply advanced GIS techniques and methodologies for geospatial analysis and intelligence production.
• Produce detailed maps, reports, and briefings summarizing geospatial intelligence findings for diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including intelligence analysts, engineers, and software developers, to integrate geospatial data into broader intelligence products.
• Maintain and update geospatial databases and ensure data integrity and security.
• Research and evaluate new geospatial technologies, tools, and data sources to enhance analytical capabilities.
• Provide expert advice and technical support on geospatial matters to internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and remote sensing applications.
• Strong understanding of geospatial data formats, projections, and coordinate systems.
• Experience with imagery analysis and interpretation for intelligence purposes.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python for scripting and automation of geospatial tasks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical information, both verbally and in writing.
• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, Cartography, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant geospatial or intelligence discipline.
• Experience with advanced analytics tools, machine learning, or artificial intelligence for geospatial data.
• Familiarity with national security and intelligence community standards and practices.
• Experience working with large datasets and cloud-based GIS platforms.
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.
