Job Description
Join the McCain Foods team as a General Production Worker in our Moncton facility. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of high-quality food products that are loved by consumers globally. This role involves various tasks across the production line, ensuring efficient operation and adherence to our rigorous quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production equipment, ensuring product quality and adherence to specifications.
- Perform general labour duties, including lifting, stacking, packing, and moving materials.
- Conduct quality checks and inspections on products at various stages of production.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all sanitation and hygiene protocols.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to supervisors.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and willingness to follow guidelines.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, especially in food processing.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Forklift certification or experience operating other heavy machinery.
