Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate General Practitioner to join our diverse team in Minneapolis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an international medical graduate looking to establish their career in the United States, as we offer comprehensive visa sponsorship. The successful candidate will provide primary medical care, including diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of a wide range of health conditions for patients of all ages. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including physical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHRs) in accordance with M Health Fairview standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education activities.
- Adhere to all medical ethical standards, professional guidelines, and M Health Fairview policies.
Required Skills
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of a US-accredited residency program in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Eligible for or holding current, unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Minnesota.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Strong clinical diagnostic and treatment skills across a broad spectrum of primary care.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education abilities.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered care.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years of post-residency experience in an outpatient primary care setting.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations and cultural backgrounds.
- Familiarity with Epic EHR system.
- Additional language proficiency (e.g., Spanish, Somali).
- Demonstrated interest in community health initiatives or preventative medicine.
