Job Description

Banner Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner (Physician) to join our esteemed medical team in Tucson, Arizona. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary medical care to patients of all ages, including routine check-ups, preventive screenings, and health maintenance.
  • Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic medical conditions.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and referrals to specialists when necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and administrative staff, to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education.
  • Adhere to all medical ethics, professional standards, and legal requirements.

Required Skills

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or General Practice.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Arizona (or active AZ medical license).
  • DEA registration or eligibility.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Strong clinical diagnostic and treatment skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a primary care setting in the U.S.
  • Experience with diverse patient populations.
  • Fluency in Spanish or other languages.
