Job Description
Join Canada Post as a General Laborer in our busy Shipping Department in Sydney, Nova Scotia. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals seeking to start their career in logistics and gain valuable experience in a dynamic warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing parcels, mail, and other items from trucks and containers.
- Sort and scan packages and mail according to destination, size, and type.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment (training provided).
- Prepare items for shipment, including packing, labeling, and verifying contents.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and quality checks as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic communication skills (written and verbal).
