Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our facilities management team as General Helpers. This full-time, on-site position offers immediate start for suitable candidates and includes visa sponsorship for international applicants. The General Helper will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of Emaar’s properties, ensuring a high standard of environment for residents, tenants, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties in assigned areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste removal.
- Assist in minor maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, moving furniture, and basic repairs under supervision.
- Support skilled tradespersons with various projects and tasks as required.
- Ensure the proper handling and disposal of materials and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Report any damages, hazards, or maintenance needs to supervisors promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas and equipment.
- Provide support for event setups and breakdowns within the properties.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and equipment usage.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role within facilities management, hospitality, or construction.
- Knowledge of basic safety procedures and handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Valid driver's license (advantageous but not required).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
