Job Description
Aldar Properties is seeking a diligent and hardworking General Helper to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. This is an immediate start position, and we are pleased to offer visa sponsorship for eligible candidates. As a General Helper, you will be instrumental in supporting various operational tasks across our properties, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for residents and visitors. You will work closely with facility management and operational teams to uphold our high standards of service and property upkeep. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties in designated areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal.
- Assist with the loading, unloading, and movement of materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Support skilled tradespeople (e.g., electricians, plumbers, carpenters) with basic tasks as directed.
- Execute minor repair and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, clearing minor blockages, or touch-up painting.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures on-site.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas, tools, and equipment.
- Report any damages, hazards, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
- Provide support for events, setups, and other ad-hoc tasks as required.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and safe use of cleaning equipment.
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills (basic English required to understand instructions).
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and order.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a general helper, cleaner, or laborer role, preferably in a hospitality, residential, or commercial setting.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
