Job Description
Stonewall Kitchen is seeking a dedicated and hardworking General Farm Laborer to join our agricultural support team in Portland, Maine. This vital role involves assisting with various tasks related to crop cultivation, harvesting, and farm maintenance to ensure the highest quality produce for our gourmet products. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, reliable, and possess a strong work ethic, with a desire to contribute to a successful and sustainable farming operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general farm duties including planting, weeding, pruning, and harvesting crops.
- Operate and maintain basic farm equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist with irrigation, soil preparation, and pest control measures.
- Clean and prepare produce for transport and processing, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of farm areas, tools, and equipment.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with other farm team members to achieve daily goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by farm management.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods, outdoors in varying weather conditions.
