Job Description

Join Microsoft’s dynamic team as a Game Tester, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and playability of our next-generation games. This entry-level position is perfect for passionate gamers with a keen eye for detail and a desire to contribute to the creation of world-class entertainment. You will work closely with development teams, identifying bugs, providing feedback, and verifying fixes across various platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Execute test plans and test cases with precision to identify bugs, glitches, and other issues.
• Document and report defects clearly and concisely using internal bug-tracking systems.
• Provide constructive feedback on game design, usability, and overall player experience.
• Verify bug fixes and ensure the resolution of reported issues.
• Perform regression testing, functionality testing, and compatibility testing on various hardware configurations.
• Collaborate effectively with developers, designers, and other QA team members.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of assigned game titles and platform requirements.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings, contributing to a positive and productive environment.

Required Skills

• Strong passion for video games across multiple genres and platforms.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with bug reporting tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps is a plus).
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to tasks.
• Patience and persistence in identifying difficult-to-reproduce bugs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a QA or testing role (professional or personal projects).
• Familiarity with various gaming platforms (PC, Xbox, mobile, cloud gaming).
• Understanding of the game development lifecycle.
• Experience with different software testing methodologies.
• Relevant certifications in quality assurance or software testing.
