Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Game Developer to join our dynamic team in Coventry. This is an incredible opportunity to contribute to our next generation of titles, working on core gameplay systems, tools, and engine features. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and debug gameplay mechanics, AI, and systems across various platforms.
  • Collaborate with designers, artists, and other engineers to bring game features from concept to completion.
  • Optimize game performance and memory usage on target hardware.
  • Write clear, maintainable, and efficient C++ code.
  • Actively participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in C++ programming.
  • Strong understanding of game development principles, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Experience with commercial game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) or proprietary engines.
  • Familiarity with debugging, profiling, and optimization techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • A passion for video games and game development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with console development (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch).
