Job Description

Riot Games is seeking a talented and passionate Game Designer to join our dynamic team in Miami. You will be instrumental in conceptualizing, prototyping, and refining gameplay mechanics, systems, and experiences that resonate with millions of players worldwide. Key Responsibilities

• Design, document, and implement engaging gameplay mechanics, systems, and features for upcoming and existing titles.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, artists, and other designers to ensure cohesive and innovative game experiences.
• Prototype and iterate on designs using various tools and engines, gathering feedback and making data-driven improvements.
• Conduct playtests, analyze player feedback, and contribute to post-launch content and balance updates.
• Act as a player advocate, ensuring that design decisions align with our commitment to delivering exceptional player experiences.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitive titles, and player preferences to identify new opportunities.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Game Designer, with at least one shipped title.
• Proficiency in game design documentation (GDDs, wireframes, flowcharts).
• Strong understanding of game mechanics, player psychology, and user experience principles.
• Experience with game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and scripting languages (e.g., C#, Blueprint, Lua).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to iterate rapidly and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Eligibility for visa sponsorship in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with live-service games and community feedback integration.
• Demonstrated passion for games and a deep understanding of various genres.
• Portfolio showcasing design work, prototypes, or personal projects.
• Experience with economy design, progression systems, or competitive multiplayer design.
