Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our seasonal farm team as Fruit Pickers / Farm Laborers. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking temporary work in an outdoor environment, with no prior experience required. You will be responsible for harvesting various fruits and vegetables, maintaining crop health, and assisting with general farm duties. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Harvesting fruits and vegetables by hand or using appropriate tools, following specific picking guidelines to ensure produce quality.
• Carefully inspecting produce for ripeness, damage, or disease during the picking process.
• Packing harvested produce into containers or crates as directed, ensuring proper handling to prevent bruising.
• Transporting harvested produce from fields to designated collection points.
• Assisting with general farm maintenance, including weeding, planting, and irrigation tasks as needed.
• Operating basic farm equipment under supervision, if required and trained.
• Adhering to all safety protocols and sanitation standards in the field and packing areas.
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily harvesting targets.

Required Skills

• Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, sun, dust).
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, lift, and carry heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions accurately and efficiently.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality in all tasks.
• No prior experience required; willing to train motivated individuals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of agricultural practices.
• Prior experience in a farm or outdoor labor setting.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required.
