Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Freight Forwarder to join our team in Chattanooga, TN. This role is crucial for managing the logistics and transportation of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery for our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating international and domestic shipments, liaising with carriers, customs brokers, and clients, and managing all required documentation. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of international and domestic freight forwarding operations.
- Liaise with clients, carriers, customs brokers, and overseas agents to ensure smooth shipment execution.
- Prepare, review, and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and commercial invoices.
- Track and trace shipments, providing real-time updates to clients on status and potential delays.
- Negotiate rates with carriers and vendors to secure competitive pricing for services.
- Ensure compliance with all international and domestic shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, and delays efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records and databases of all logistics activities.
- Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with clients.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in freight forwarding or a related logistics role.
- Proven knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and Incoterms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications
