Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Food & Beverage Assistant to join our dynamic team in Hamburg. As an F&B Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. This position requires a proactive individual with a passion for service, excellent communication skills in English, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hotel environment. You will support the smooth operation of our restaurant, bar, and other dining outlets, ensuring high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements.
- Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using a POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Clear tables, set up dining areas, and maintain cleanliness standards.
- Assist with restocking inventory for the bar and dining areas.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve minor service issues with a friendly and helpful attitude.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other F&B team members to ensure seamless service.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Process payments and handle cash/card transactions accurately.
Required Skills
- Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food and beverage role within a hotel or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of basic German language is a plus, but not required
- Certification in food hygiene or safety
