Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Flutter Developer to join our dynamic engineering team in Edinburgh. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our mobile features, ensuring a seamless user experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with the team.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness of applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile development trends and technologies, particularly within the Flutter ecosystem.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions for mobile solutions.
  • Work effectively in an Agile development environment.
  • Ensure cross-platform compatibility and responsiveness.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Flutter and Dart.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and deploying mobile applications to both iOS and Android platforms.
  • Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with state management solutions (e.g., Provider, Riverpod, BLoC).
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and integration.
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle.
  • Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with native mobile development (Swift/Kotlin/Java) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
  • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., integration tests, widget tests, unit tests).
  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for Flutter apps.
  • Experience working in a large-scale, consumer-facing product environment.
  • Understanding of analytics and A/B testing implementation in mobile apps.
