Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Fleet Manager to oversee our extensive vehicle and equipment fleet operations in Casper, Wyoming. This critical role ensures the efficient, safe, and cost-effective operation of our fleet, supporting our field operations across the region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fleet management, logistics, and supply chain, with a focus on compliance, maintenance, and operational excellence. This position offers visa sponsorship for qualified international candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the acquisition, maintenance, repair, and disposal of all company vehicles and equipment.
- Develop and implement fleet policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal regulations.
- Monitor fleet performance, fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and utilization rates, implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
- Oversee the scheduling of preventative maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
- Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality service.
- Recruit, train, and supervise fleet personnel, promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
- Maintain accurate records of fleet inventory, maintenance logs, expenses, and regulatory compliance.
- Implement and manage GPS tracking and telematics systems to optimize routes and improve driver safety.
- Prepare and manage the fleet budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring financial targets are met.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or in a similar role within a large organization.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair, and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with DOT, OSHA, and other relevant regulatory compliance standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and negotiate effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Fleet Management (e.g., CAFM, CTP).
- Experience with heavy equipment and specialized vehicles in the energy or industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations pertaining to fleet operations.
- Experience managing a fleet with operations across multiple sites.
