Job Description

Deloitte is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Financial Controller to join our dynamic team in Arlington, Virginia. This pivotal role involves overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the firm’s objectives. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in financial management, exceptional analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage and oversee internal audit processes, ensuring strong internal controls.
• Support the audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Evaluate and improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Oversee tax compliance and liaison with external tax advisors.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of financial professionals.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
• In-depth understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CMA certification highly preferred.
• Master's degree in Finance or MBA.
• Experience within a Big Four accounting firm or large consulting environment.
• Experience with international financial operations and multi-currency environments.
