Job Description

Amazon Studios is seeking an experienced and visionary Film Director to lead the creative direction and execution of feature films and high-end episodic content. This pivotal role requires a deep understanding of cinematic language, storytelling, and visual aesthetics, coupled with exceptional leadership skills to guide a diverse crew through all stages of production. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating scripts into compelling visual narratives, ensuring artistic integrity, and achieving the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with writers, producers, and executive leadership to develop and refine film concepts and scripts.
• Oversee all creative aspects of production, from pre-production (storyboarding, casting, location scouting) through principal photography and post-production (editing, sound design, visual effects).
• Direct actors and crew, fostering a collaborative and inspiring set environment.
• Ensure the artistic vision aligns with the project's goals and budgetary constraints.
• Manage timelines and resources effectively to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Maintain high standards of quality and artistic integrity throughout the entire production process.
• Work with cinematographers, production designers, and other department heads to achieve a cohesive visual style.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a Film Director with a portfolio of critically acclaimed or commercially successful projects.
