Job Description

As a Federal Air Marshal (FAM), you will serve as a highly trained federal law enforcement officer working covertly on commercial flights. Your critical mission will be to detect, deter, and defeat hostile acts targeting U.S. air carriers, passengers, and crews. This demanding role requires exceptional situational awareness, tactical proficiency, and the ability to operate effectively and discreetly in high-stress environments to enhance aviation security and national defense.

Key Responsibilities

• Protect passengers and crew from criminal and terrorist acts aboard U.S. aircraft, both domestically and internationally.
• Maintain a high level of tactical proficiency, including expert firearms qualification and defensive tactics.
• Conduct pre-flight threat assessments and post-flight reporting, providing detailed operational summaries.
• Coordinate effectively with flight crews, ground personnel, and other federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
• Maintain a low profile and operate covertly while conducting assigned missions.
• Respond rapidly and decisively to neutralize threats to aviation security.
• Undergo continuous training, recertification, and physical fitness assessments to maintain operational readiness.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
• Successful completion of the intensive Federal Air Marshal Service Basic Training Program.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in criminal justice, national security, aviation security, or a related field.
• Previous experience in law enforcement, military special operations, or intelligence community.
• Fluency in multiple languages, particularly those relevant to international travel.
• Experience in covert operations, counter-terrorism, or protective services.
