Job Description
Join Cargill’s dedicated team for the upcoming harvest season! We are seeking diligent and enthusiastic individuals for immediate start as Farm & Harvest Workers. This temporary position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to vital food production, work outdoors, and gain hands-on experience in the agricultural sector. You will be an integral part of our operations, ensuring timely and efficient harvesting and processing of agricultural products. Key Responsibilities
- Perform various tasks related to crop harvesting, including manual labor, operating basic farm machinery, and product handling.
- Assist with the sorting, grading, and packaging of harvested produce according to quality standards.
- Load and unload agricultural products and supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, especially those related to food safety and occupational health.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily production targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in farming, harvesting, or general labor.
- Experience operating farm equipment (e.g., tractors, forklifts) – training can be provided.
- First Aid certification.
