Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our farming operations as a Farm Hand. This entry-level position is perfect for those with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn about agricultural practices. You will be an integral part of our team, supporting various daily tasks essential to the farm’s productivity and health. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops according to seasonal schedules.
• Operate and maintain various farm machinery and equipment, such as tractors, irrigators, and utility vehicles, under supervision.
• Perform general farm maintenance tasks including fence repair, building upkeep, and field preparation.
• Participate in irrigation activities, which includes setting up, monitoring, and troubleshooting irrigation systems.
• Provide care for livestock, if applicable to the specific farm site, including feeding, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring animal health.
• Strictly adhere to all company and industry safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, damage, or safety concerns promptly to supervisors.
• Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with other farm staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned by farm management.

Required Skills

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, which may include lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods, in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors.
• Basic understanding of hand tools and farm machinery (or a strong aptitude and willingness to learn rapidly).
• Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a larger team.
• Possession of a valid driver's license is preferred, though not strictly required for this entry-level role, and may be necessary for certain tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience in outdoor labor, landscaping, construction, or other manual work.
• Familiarity with agricultural practices, farm environments, or a genuine interest in farming.
• Ability to safely operate basic farm equipment (e.g., ATVs, small tractors).
