Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Farm Hand to join our agricultural operations in Tucson, Arizona. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to learn about farming and contribute to the daily success of our operations. The Farm Hand will perform a variety of general duties essential to maintaining our farm, ensuring the health of crops or livestock, and contributing to overall productivity. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops.
- Perform general maintenance tasks around the farm, including fencing, equipment cleaning, and repairs.
- Operate basic farm machinery and tools under supervision, after proper training.
- Help with irrigation systems, including setting up, monitoring, and shutting down.
- Support animal care, including feeding, watering, and maintaining clean pens (if applicable).
- Monitor crops or livestock for signs of disease or distress and report findings to supervisors.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by farm management.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
