Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Support Worker to join our team in Henderson, NV. This vital role involves providing comprehensive support and resources to families navigating the challenges of disability, ensuring they have access to the services and information necessary to thrive. This position offers visa sponsorship for qualified international candidates passionate about social services and community support.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments of family needs and develop individualized support plans.
• Provide guidance, advocacy, and direct support to families, connecting them with community resources.
• Facilitate workshops, support groups, and educational sessions for families and caregivers.
• Monitor progress of families, adjusting support plans as needed, and maintaining accurate records.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure holistic client support.
• Educate families on available services, benefits, and entitlements.
• Respond to crisis situations with sensitivity and provide appropriate interventions or referrals.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in family support, case management, or social services.
• Strong understanding of the challenges faced by families of individuals with disabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultural backgrounds.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW).
• Experience working within a non-profit or community-based organization.
• Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish).
• Familiarity with local Henderson/Las Vegas community resources.
