Job Description

Spirit AeroSystems is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Factory Production Workers to join our manufacturing team in Wichita, Kansas. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the assembly and fabrication of aerostructure components. This position supports multiple production lines, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to safety standards and production schedules. We are looking for individuals who are committed to precision, teamwork, and continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform various manufacturing tasks, including assembly, fabrication, bonding, and material handling.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications to ensure product quality.
• Inspect finished products for defects and compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Document production activities and report any issues or discrepancies.
• Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret basic instructions and safety procedures.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably aerospace.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen).
• Experience with precision measuring instruments.
• Technical training or certification in manufacturing or a related field.
