Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Roofer to join our dynamic team in Houston, Texas. This is a unique opportunity for international candidates, as Tecta America is offering visa sponsorship for qualified applicants. The successful candidate will be passionate about quality craftsmanship and committed to safety, contributing to large-scale commercial and industrial roofing projects. You will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various types of roofing systems, ensuring all work adheres to rigorous industry standards and company safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, or replace diverse commercial roofing systems, including TPO, PVC, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, and Metal roofing.
• Conduct thorough roof inspections, accurately identify deficiencies, and propose effective repair or replacement solutions.
• Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including consistent use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Operate power tools and other equipment common to roofing work safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment, maintaining clear communication with supervisors and fellow crew members.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship and meticulous attention to detail on all project tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized worksite, including proper storage and care of tools and equipment.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying heavy materials, climbing ladders, and working safely at various heights and on sloped surfaces.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience in commercial or industrial roofing.
• Proficiency in the installation and repair of at least two major commercial roofing systems (e.g., TPO, PVC, EPDM, Metal).
• Strong understanding and practical application of roofing safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, or project specifications.
• Demonstrated physical stamina and capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform demanding physical tasks.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Legal eligibility to work in the USA upon successful visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience with specialized roofing systems such as green roofing or solar panel integration.
• Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish).
• Previous experience leading or supervising small roofing teams.
