Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Nanny to join a loving family in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. This is a unique opportunity for an international candidate as visa sponsorship will be provided for the right individual. The role involves comprehensive childcare for two children, aged 3 and 6, fostering their development in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating home environment. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, engaging, and professional individual committed to providing high-quality care and becoming an integral part of the family’s daily life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-time care for two children, including supervision, playtime, and educational activities.
- Assist with morning routines, meal preparation for children, and bedtime rituals.
- Organize and participate in age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities and outings.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the children, including light housekeeping pertaining to children's areas.
- Assist with children's laundry and ensure their belongings are tidy.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding children's progress, activities, and needs.
- Manage children's schedules, including school pick-ups/drop-offs and extracurricular activities.
- Administer basic first aid if necessary and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
- Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere for the children's growth and learning.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) verifiable experience in childcare or a nanny role.
- Genuine love for children and a deep understanding of child development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
- Proven reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
- Clean criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
- Ability to relocate to Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal education or certification in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field.
- Experience with children of similar age groups (preschool and early school-age).
- Valid Canadian Driver's License (or equivalent international license with eligibility to obtain Canadian license) and a clean driving record.
- Experience working abroad or in multicultural environments.
- Proficiency in an additional language.
