Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Engineer to join our dynamic team in Crystal City, Arlington, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant environmental projects, working alongside industry experts on diverse challenges in water resources, site remediation, environmental permitting, and sustainability. The successful candidate will play a critical role in project planning, design, execution, and client engagement. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental site assessments, impact analyses, and risk evaluations.
- Develop and implement remediation strategies for contaminated sites.
- Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and regulatory compliance documents.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for water resource projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Oversee fieldwork, data collection, and laboratory analyses.
- Contribute to project proposals, cost estimates, and schedule management.
- Stay abreast of environmental regulations, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in environmental consulting or engineering.
- Proficiency in environmental regulations (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, CWA, NEPA).
- Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
- Experience with environmental sampling and data interpretation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel for site visits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS) and environmental modeling tools.
- OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour certification.
- Project management experience, including budgeting and scheduling.
