Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team in Wilmington, Delaware. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional passionate about environmental stewardship and sustainable development. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering comprehensive environmental consulting services to a diverse range of clients across the Mid-Atlantic region. You will contribute to projects involving environmental impact assessments, regulatory compliance, site investigations, and remediation strategies. Your expertise will support clients in navigating complex environmental regulations and achieving their sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental site assessments (Phase I and Phase II) and due diligence reviews.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and regulatory submissions.
• Manage projects, including scope, budget, and schedule, to ensure successful delivery.
• Perform fieldwork, including site inspections, sampling (soil, water, air), and monitoring.
• Interpret environmental regulations (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, CWA) and provide compliance guidance to clients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
• Develop and implement environmental management plans and remediation strategies.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development initiatives.
• Ensure projects adhere to health and safety protocols and quality standards.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related industry.
• Demonstrated experience with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
• Strong understanding of federal and state environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, Delaware DNREC).
• Proficiency in data analysis and technical report writing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel for site visits.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant environmental discipline.
• Professional certifications (e.g., P.G., P.E., CHMM).
• Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS).
• Familiarity with environmental modeling software.
• Project management professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience with stakeholder engagement and public consultation processes.
