Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team in Wilmington, Delaware. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional passionate about environmental stewardship and sustainable development. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering comprehensive environmental consulting services to a diverse range of clients across the Mid-Atlantic region. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental site assessments (Phase I and Phase II) and due diligence reviews.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and regulatory submissions.
  • Manage projects, including scope, budget, and schedule, to ensure successful delivery.
  • Perform fieldwork, including site inspections, sampling (soil, water, air), and monitoring.
  • Interpret environmental regulations (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, CWA) and provide compliance guidance to clients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans and remediation strategies.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development initiatives.
  • Ensure projects adhere to health and safety protocols and quality standards.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated experience with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, Delaware DNREC).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and technical report writing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel for site visits.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant environmental discipline.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., P.G., P.E., CHMM).
  • Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS).
  • Familiarity with environmental modeling software.
  • Project management professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with stakeholder engagement and public consultation processes.
