Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and highly customer-focused English-Speaking Hotel Receptionist / Front Desk Agent to join our team in Hamburg. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual passionate about hospitality to be the first point of contact for our international guests. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, handling check-ins and check-outs, managing reservations, and providing essential information and assistance to ensure a seamless and enjoyable stay. Fluency in English is essential for this role, as you will be primarily assisting our non-German speaking clientele.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome and register guests upon arrival, ensuring a smooth check-in process.
- Efficiently handle guest check-outs, process payments, and assist with luggage and transportation.
- Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications, ensuring accuracy and guest satisfaction.
- Answer phones, emails, and in-person inquiries in a professional and friendly manner.
- Provide comprehensive information about hotel services, local attractions, and dining options.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and courteously, escalating when necessary.
- Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure excellent guest service.
- Process cash, credit card, and other forms of payment according to hotel procedures.
- Perform night audit duties as required.
Required Skills
- Fluent in English (verbal and written communication)
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in basic computer systems (PMS experience is a plus)
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure
- Professional and friendly demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (1+ year) in a hotel front desk or customer service role.
- A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Additional language skills are a plus, but not required.
