Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and friendly English-Speaking Hotel Receptionist to join our dynamic team at Hilton Hamburg. As the first point of contact for our international guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience from arrival to departure. This position is perfect for an individual with excellent communication skills, a passion for service, and a desire to work in a multicultural environment. While German language skills are not required for this specific role, an understanding of luxury hospitality standards and a proactive attitude are essential. You will be responsible for managing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling inquiries, processing reservations, and ensuring guest satisfaction through meticulous attention to detail and a warm, professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome and register guests upon arrival, assigning rooms and issuing keys.
  • Efficiently process guest check-outs, including handling payments and generating invoices.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Manage incoming calls and redirect them appropriately, providing information on hotel services and local attractions.
  • Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations with accuracy.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments (Housekeeping, Concierge, F&B) to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
  • Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local area attractions.

Required Skills

  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).
  • Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in hospitality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in using front office management systems (PMS).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Hotel Receptionist or Front Desk Agent.
