Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Bar & Restaurant Staff to join our vibrant team in Hamburg. Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests and assist them with seating arrangements in the restaurant or at the bar.
• Present menus, take accurate food and beverage orders, and answer any questions about menu items.
• Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring high standards of presentation.
• Handle guest payments accurately, operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, and manage cash and card transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and restaurant areas, including tables, counters, and equipment.
• Restock bar supplies and ensure all service areas are well-prepared for operation.
• Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, fellow servers, and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond to inquiries or requests in a professional and timely manner.

Required Skills

• Fluency in English (verbal and written) is essential.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions.
• A positive attitude and a passion for hospitality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience (6+ months) in a bar, restaurant, or hotel setting.
• Knowledge of various beverage types and cocktail preparation techniques.
• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Certification in food safety and hygiene.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
