Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineering Technician to join our dynamic engineering team in Meridian, Idaho. This role involves critical support for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of complex electrical systems and components used in semiconductor manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical principles, hands-on experience with lab equipment, and a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical circuits, components, and systems.
  • Assist engineers in the design, development, and implementation of new electrical solutions for manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct experiments and collect precise data using various electrical test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers).
  • Build, modify, and maintain prototypes and production test fixtures.
  • Document test procedures, results, and findings accurately and comprehensively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing and field service teams as needed, ensuring seamless operation.

Required Skills

  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical Engineering Technician or in a similar hands-on role.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Hands-on experience with soldering, circuit assembly, and component testing.
  • Familiarity with various electrical test equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for complex electrical systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in the semiconductor manufacturing industry or a cleanroom environment.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or industrial automation systems.
  • Proficiency with CAD software for electrical design (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle).
  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages for test automation and data analysis.
