Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This position offers an exciting opportunity for talented international candidates, as visa sponsorship is available. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of complex electrical systems and components for critical aerospace and defense applications. You will work on innovative projects from conception through production, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of quality and performance. Key Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, simulate, and test analog and digital circuits and systems for various applications.
- Develop detailed electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and wiring diagrams using industry-standard CAD tools.
- Conduct comprehensive system integration, verification, and validation activities.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for electrical hardware issues.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software engineers, and project managers to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in circuit design and analysis (analog and digital)
- Experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad)
- Strong understanding of electrical test equipment and methodologies (oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers)
- Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontrollers
- Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC principles
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or similar scripting languages for data analysis
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience in the aerospace, defense, or telecommunications industry
- Knowledge of RF engineering principles and components
- Experience with FPGA design and VHDL/Verilog programming
- Familiarity with industry standards such as MIL-STD, IPC, and DO-160
