Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Boulder, CO. The successful candidate will be involved in the full lifecycle of electrical system design, from concept development and simulation to hardware implementation, testing, and integration for various space-based and ground-support systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test electrical components, circuits, and systems for aerospace applications.
- Conduct system-level analysis, trade studies, and simulations to optimize performance and reliability.
- Develop detailed electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and harness diagrams.
- Perform hardware bring-up, debug, and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, software, and systems engineers.
- Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and design reviews.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, project requirements, and quality control procedures.
- Participate in integration and test activities, including environmental testing.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in electrical hardware design and development.
- Proficiency with circuit design and simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle).
- Experience with PCB design and layout principles.
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-speed digital design, FPGAs, or embedded systems.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC design principles and testing.
- Experience with space-qualified hardware design and ruggedized electronics.
- Familiarity with aerospace industry standards (e.g., MIL-STD, NASA standards).
- Prior experience with power electronics or RF design.
- Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
