Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Economist to join our dynamic team in Louisville, Kentucky. This role is crucial for providing insightful economic analysis, forecasting, and policy recommendations that will inform strategic decision-making across various business units. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in macroeconomics, econometrics, and financial markets to assess risks, identify opportunities, and contribute to our global economic outlook. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth macroeconomic research and analysis on global and regional economic trends, monetary policy, and fiscal developments.

Required Skills

  • Master's degree in Economics, Econometrics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in economic research, forecasting, or financial analysis, preferably within a financial institution, central bank, or major research firm.
  • Strong proficiency in econometric modeling and quantitative analysis techniques.
  • Expertise in statistical software packages such as R, Python, Stata, or EViews.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex economic concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to conduct independent research and deliver high-quality analytical outputs under tight deadlines.
  • Solid understanding of global financial markets, monetary policy, and macroeconomic theory.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to obtain and maintain visa sponsorship (if applicable) and work authorization in the USA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in Economics or a related field.
  • Experience with large datasets and big data analytics tools.
  • Prior experience in a specific sector (e.g., banking, fixed income, equity markets).
  • Fluency in additional languages relevant to global economic analysis.
  • CFA designation or progress towards one.
