Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Economist to join our dynamic team in Sainte-Foy, Quebec. This critical role involves conducting in-depth economic research, analyzing financial markets, and providing insightful forecasts to support strategic decision-making across our diverse operations. The successful candidate will contribute to our understanding of local, national, and international economic trends, helping us navigate complex financial landscapes and identify growth opportunities. Key Responsibilities

Required Skills

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Economist or in a similar analytical role within the financial sector or a major research institution.
  • Proven expertise in econometric modeling, statistical analysis, and forecasting techniques.
  • Strong proficiency with statistical software (e.g., EViews, R, Python, SAS, Stata).
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex economic concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Fluency in English (oral and written).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingualism (English and French) is highly preferred due to the Quebec location and our diverse clientele.
