Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Distribution Associate to join our supply chain team in Ogudu, Lagos State. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of our diverse product range. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and a strong commitment to teamwork to meet our operational goals and deliver products to our customers reliably.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials, verifying quantities against shipping documents.
• Accurately pick, pack, label, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards and customer requirements.
• Operate various material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner (certification preferred but training provided).
• Maintain precise inventory records through our internal management systems and participate in regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
• Ensure the warehouse environment is clean, organized, and compliant with all safety regulations and housekeeping standards.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow, resolve issues, and achieve daily distribution targets.
• Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or quality control issues with products or equipment.
• Adhere strictly to all company policies, safety protocols, and operational procedures.

Required Skills

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg) frequently.
• Basic computer literacy for inventory scanning and data entry.
• Strong organizational skills and an acute attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills for reading labels, counting, and simple calculations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution setting.
• Valid forklift operator certification or prior experience operating material handling equipment.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, WMS).
• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
