Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Manchester, UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for an international candidate as visa sponsorship is available. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of heavy diesel engines, trucks, and other fleet vehicles. Your expertise will ensure the safety and reliability of our extensive fleet, contributing significantly to our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of diesel mechanics, diagnostic tools, and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy diesel vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in diesel engines and related systems.
- Conduct repairs, replacements, and overhauls of engines, transmissions, brakes, and other vehicle components.
- Utilize diagnostic software and tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding vehicle status and repair progress.
- Assist in parts inventory management and ordering as needed.

Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Technician.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Valid driver's license (HGV license preferred).
